How to use character reference and name them?

What are the specific tags I need to use for a singer for a music video?

What have you tried?
I upload a front facing singer, and tag it with words "man - singer, vocalist", but Maestro doesnt use it. In its prompts it ends each prompt with "Preserve character identity....". If I have more than one character, which one is it talking about?

Also in the inital director prompt, if i add "no characters, no humans, etc", it will still sometimes put people in it. Does it not understand negative prompts?
