Version 3.0.0.
I'm having repeated problems with music-video planning in Maestro. The LLM/Director fails to produce valid shot plans, even after multiple repair attempts.
The errors include missing or incorrectly ordered source events (M1, M2, etc.), misinterpreting simple instructions such as "both hands," and failing to assign every source event exactly once in the correct order.
These failures happen during planning, before video generation even begins. I've simplified and rewritten my prompts several times, but the problems persist. It seems the planning and validation system is struggling with its own requirements.

How to fix in director mode without intervention?
Anyone know how to prevent changes in a prompt when repairing in director mode? I rewrite the prompt but somehow it gets injected with things I don´t want, sometimes there is an issue which needs fixing without interference, I am fighting this a lot.
Fixes to h3_dialogue.py.
I had too many duplicates and also some wrong hair descriptions, the latter H3 simply can´t handle, no point in describing "short dark hair" as an attribute, "short dark hair" probably has thousands of variations and H3 invents its own.
This is a brief summary copied from ChatGPT of what it did to the file:
1. Fixed duplicate-subject mapping so an existing character like Don/Maria is matched to <Picture 1>/<Picture 2> instead of creating new Subject 3/4 copies.
2. Fixed prompt recompilation buildup, stripping compiler-generated identity and lip-sync boilerplate before recompiling so it doesn’t keep duplicating itself.
3. Added hair to picture identity, so the reference now carries “facial, hair, bodily, and character identity” from the picture.
4. Updated the cleanup regex so it recognizes both the old and new identity wording.
Syntax-checked the finished file afterward.
I ran a difficult test of 50 shots afterwards and got 1 duplicate due to poor continuity description in my prompt in the last shot, it seems fixed for the most part.
How to prevent all the twin males in H3 minimax?
I do a lot of videos where "unknowns" are present, the females vary a lot ... the males don´t, I often get 10 twins of the same guy. It´s usually a black haired guy in his early 30s with a black beard. I have tried to force prompt this in many ways, unsuccessful thus far.
Director instruction which ruins a lot of shots, how to prevent it?
"Non-singing guitarists, bassists and drummers keep their lips closed without mouthing lyrics, except for a non-singing expression explicitly requested by the user; their hands and bodies continue the instrumental performance" This often invites musical players into scenes where you don´t want them, I have no idea how to get rid of it, I have tried with negatives and positives, nothing seems to work.
Shots not registering on the dashboard, director mode.
There is no report since the software doesn´t seem to treat it as an error. My director music videos are for the most part not registering on the dashboard, that is using "Minimax H3 pruned with references". There is a way to fix this, that´s by stopping the process when the dashboard has been generated and click "repair", it adds the videos it makes to the dashboard but you need to catch it early, preferably before the first shot is made in order to save time.
Are all MiniMax H3 variations so clueless when it comes to audio and lip sync?
Something I didn´t have to with LTX unless saxophones and/or cellos are involved is to apply time stamps for lip sync. LTX has other issues but this one is easy to deal with, Minimax H3 is rather clueless or my prompts are bad. I have had to implement time stamps and redo a lot of clips due to just music and lip sync issues, especially of course the beginning of the songs which the prompt usually obeys, as for the finish it´s hit and miss. Seems everyone loves to lip sync to just ordinary music. So I was wondering if all MiniMax H3 variations have this issue. PS: Because I use this a lot I wan
What are the reference image prompts?
I have edited a singe file to have Qwen 3.5 9B as an option in all LLM options, it has made my work a thousand times easier. Gemma is just an idiot or I don´t know how to prompt it. I can´t use the really large models. I can´t seem to find out which prompts I need for the correct reference images to be used. I upload face/left side on the character references, name it: John, face left side .... and it often uses these .... but it takes the left face and morphs it into a front face. I don´t know if I am explaining this correctly.
Love it, almost the idiot´s guide to the galaxy.
Absolutely love the ability of this workflow to put together a string of videos and make a finished video with accurate lip syncing. The problem being that I am an idiot, I just want to press one button and the AI simply isn´t clever enough yet. I just want the guy to sing .... slight camera movement ... but one initial frame is always wrong even if I restrict the AI with a steel belt. It generates 15 initial frames ... one at least is always very wrong and I don´t know how to edit it, that´s not the author´s fault, it´s mine. The AI also goes bananas a lot inventing stuff even thought I speci
