We just integrated RIFE AI frame interpolation (rife-ncnn-vulkan) directly into Vibe Player for local, GPU-accelerated video smoothing and slow-motion generation.
The runner is packaged as an optional modular pack—you can install it with one click directly from the dialog so the base player stays completely bloat-free.
Key Capabilities:
2x / 4x Frame Multiplication: Generate intermediate frames to boost choppy 24/30 FPS video up to fluid 60 FPS+ output.
Low VRAM Friendly (Tested on 4GB GPUs): Optimized via rife-ncnn-vulkan to run smoothly even on entry-level laptop GPUs with 4GB VRAM without memory errors.
Two Distinct Modes:
Higher FPS (Keep Duration): Increases frame density while keeping exact playback speed and length.
Slow Motion: Stretches timeline duration at source framerate for true cinematic slow-mo.
Cross-GPU Vulkan Acceleration: Fast local inference via rife-ncnn-vulkan with automatic UHD handling across NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel GPUs.
Integrated Workflow: Trigger via right-click context menu, batch-process selections, or chain directly after SEEDVR2 upscaling for high-resolution, fluid footage in a single pipeline.
Audio & Container Preservation: Automatically remuxes the original audio stream across MP4, MKV, MOV, WebM, and AVI formats.
Modular Setup: Clean 1-click install (tools/rife/) directly inside the dialog without polluting the base environment.
