A fix for Cover and a small visual touch for the Library player. Updating once gets you both. Thanks to @pdxcomposer for reporting the Cover bug.
Cover works again on new installs
What was broken
If you installed YUE2 // GROOVE on or after September 22, every Cover transcription failed within 10–20 seconds with an error like:
Transcription failed: SheetsageFailed: SheetSage2 transcription failed (exit 2):
FileNotFoundError: ... transformers_modules\SheetSage2\chord_spelling_sheetsage2.py
The task you picked, your operating system and your graphics card made no difference. Nothing was wrong with your computer either.
Why it happened
Cover uses the SheetSage2 model from Hugging Face. On September 22 its authors added a new code file. Because of how the app loads the model, that file never got copied into place, so loading failed. Installs from before September 22 still had the older model and were never affected.

The fix
YUE2 // GROOVE now always installs the SheetSage2 version it was tested with. It's the same model the app has used since release. Updating repairs existing installs too, and you don't have to delete or copy anything by hand.
Pick a colour for the Library player
When a song plays in the LIBRARY, its moving bars can now come in four colours: the usual white, retro terminal green, red, or blue. Click the small button with the coloured dot next to the play controls to switch to the next one. Your choice is remembered in this browser, and the progress line under the bars uses the same colour.
If you updated to 1.0.7 and the colour button did nothing: Pinokio kept using its saved copy of the old player. 1.0.8 fixes that, and future updates will always load the new version.
How to update
- Open YUE2 // GROOVE in Pinokio.
- Click Update, then Start.
- The page footer should show 1.0.8.
If Cover still fails or the colour button does nothing: quit Pinokio completely, open it again, and click Update once more. Pinokio keeps the update steps it loaded at launch, so the first Update after a change can run the old ones.
