Maestro v1.2.0 is out 🎨🎡

Two big additions this release:

  • Light themes. Every Maestro theme now has a daylight version. Pick your style (Golden Hour, Classic, or Onyx) and set the mode to Dark, Light, or Auto. Auto follows your system's appearance and switches live, so scheduled dark mode at sunset just works.

  • ACE-Step v1.5 XL SFT LM_4B 4B is now the default music model. It is absolutely the BEST open weights music generation model available. This is the quality-focused variant of the XL 4B music model, the one that runs full classifier-free guidance instead of the fast distilled schedule. Until now, it meant cloning the ACE-Step repo and running Python workflows by hand. In Maestro it's one click: weights download on first use, guidance and steps are tunable in Advanced Settings, and it powers Director mode music videos too. The Turbo variants are still there when you want speed. Also, Music Mode songwriting is optimized to get the most out of Ace-Step models.

Also in this release:

  • Song planning is dramatically faster on Windows. A faulty runtime check was silently forcing the ACE-Step language model onto a slow fallback decoder on every Windows install. If your songs took forever to start generating, this was why.

  • ACE-Step now loads its recommended sampling settings automatically (temperature was silently stuck at 1.0 before).

  • Fixed a Director mode planning crash with same-sized reference images, songs showing the wrong duration in the gallery, and prompts not surviving a page refresh.
